H

Yes, the “H” word. I’m going on hiatus. I have been more than usually negligent and useless as a blogger here at pmousse, not to mention as a reader and commenter of blogs I normally enjoy. I keep coming back, and saying that I’ve been busy, but I’ll try harder… and then I don’t. I’m not sure what’s wrong. I love the people who read this blog. I love your blogs, and interacting there. Yes, I’ve been ridiculously busy, but I used to make the time. I guess that my focus is elsewhere right now. There are plans, and there are people, and there is stuff… you know. And for now, all of that takes priority, I guess, for no reason other than that’s how it is.

And, frankly, I’m in a pissy mood, anyhow. Not that much fun. Maybe that’s just tonight… don’t know. I can be a real flake at times.
Nevertheless, I don’t want to close down, or leave my story hanging… so I’m just putting pmousse on hold for now. I will likely regret not keeping up with some people. I will always welcome anyone’s email. And then I’ll be back.

Grosses bises. À bientôt.

Wish you all the best and do enjoy the rest. It’s that time of year when it feels like winter will never end, but I hear it will and that spring is around the corner. I do hope you’ll be back well before then! xx

We all need a break from time to time~from blogging or from any other activity we do on a regular basis. Enjoy your break. Come back when you’re ready. I’m sure we’ll still be here when you return.

I hope you come back refreshed, but I can understand your wanting to leave. I, myself, had to go cold turkey from another site that was driving me crazy. I’m happy to say that I have not been back since December 31 and it feels good.

I don’t know if what happened to me is simliar to what’s going on with you, but once you step back from the obsessive nature of blogging and realize there’s life out there, it’s hard to step back into it. My experience, anyway.

    Have a good break!

I agree with the others. Sometimes for days I just don’t feel like blogging — and then for days in a row the ideas are there and it would be an effort to stay away. Best not to put yourself on a schedule or obligation, and let it happen organically … eh?

If it helps, I heard robins this morning, and have sent some your direction.

I’m just returning from my big H! I’m getting comfortable again. My mid winter Hibernation was needed and now it’s time to cause some trouble again.

Sometimes it seems bloggers believe having a blog means writing all the time (and having good ideas about what to write about all the time) when that’s not realistic. I’ve cut back on my posting “schedule,” and it seems to have helped me. In one sense, it’s made me a little lazier because I still don’t think about what to post until it’s due, but the days off help. Rest and regenerate, maybe you will come back with new resolution and a plan. I hope so, we don’t want to lose you! —D

Peace out, PP. I’m only half-blogging at the moment. Real life often blows and sucks at the same time.

Thank you for your support, everyone. You’ll see from my most recent post that I’ve decided to move on. Email me if you’d like my other url (email address is in “About Pamplemousse”).
