about pamplemousse

Question: Is pamplemousse an actual grapefruit?

Answer: Yes indeed. She is an actual grapefruit. In appearance she is round and covered with little bumps. Inside, she is pink and wet. Flavourwise she is sometimes sweet, but mostly sour, and she makes my mouth purse. (Mr. Hand)

Question: Why ‘pamplemousse’?

Answer: I am obnoxiously proud of my fluency in French, and show it off whenever given the slightest encouragement. Also, someone cute used to call me “Pamplemousse” as a pet name. I called him “Concombre”.

Question: Are you really someone famous writing here under a pseudonym, or is that a rumour you started yourself?

Answer: Yes and yes.

Which part? The round and bumpy part? I rather like that part myself.

The whole thing! I never though of the sexual nature of a grapefruit but I’m beginning to see it more and more. Good Stuff.

The sexual nature of a grapefruit. Well, it’s just obvious. Isn’t it? Maybe it’s just you and me, BookMommy.

I never thought of the grapefruit as a sexual object, just liked eating them. So I’m taking tasting notes on a French wine, google pamplemousse and come across your blog. Cheers!
